This healthy mint chocolate banana nice cream is creamy, nourishing and incredibly simple to make!
Ingredients (1-2 servings)
2 ripe frozen bananas
1/8 teaspoon pure peppermint extract, or more as desired
a pinch of spirulina or natural food coloring
2-3 tbsp chocolate chips
Optional: 1 tsp coconut oil⠀
Optional: 1/2 cup coconut cream for a creamier taste
1. Add the frozen bananas, spirulina, peppermint extract (and optional coconut oil and coconut cream) to a powerful blender or food processor. You can add the chocolate before or after blending. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Process and use the temper to help push the frozen fruit into the blades. Continue until you get the creamy smooth texture you love. If using a food processor make sure to pause and scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. At this point you’ll have a soft serve ready to enjoy.
4. Decorate as you wish. If you like to harden the nice cream you can just pop your nice cream in the freezer for 30 minutes or so. Enjoy!
