Something I work on everyday is gratitude. Every evening me and the kids talk about what we are grateful for. I belive it’s so important to teach yourself and the next generation to be grateful for what you have. For me practicing gratitude is a important part of a sustainable lifestyle, being happy with what you have and taking care of yourself, so you have the energy needed to make sustainable actions.
People who regularly practice gratitude experience more positive emotions, breathe easier, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, improve their self-esteem, have a lower risk of depression and even have stronger immune systems. Sounds awesome right? Who doesn’t want that.
You can for example keep a gratitude journal or make gratitude part of your morning practice by reflecting upon the things you are grateful for.
Do you give thanks on a daily basis?
